Guilds Mission Statement

The Guilds, in accordance with the policies of Children’s Hospital Central California, raise funds, advocate for children and promote goodwill of the hospital.

La Comida Guild began with 29 charter members and has served Children’s Hospital since 1953.  The Guild presented its first Home Tour, Tea & Boutique in 1954.

La Comida Guild is an extraordinary group of dedicated volunteers devoted to fundraising in support of Children’s Hospital of Central California.  

Throughout the year, La Comida members prepare for their renowned Home Tour, Tea & Boutique.  The entire week preceding the Tour is intensely dedicated to preparation for the two day event.

At Evening Preview, guests dine with the Home Owners and have the first opportunity to shop at the Boutique. The evening continues with an exclusive preview viewing of the homes.  Because Home Tour is held in early December, homes are generally festively decorated for the holidays. 

The Day Tour has the distinction of allowing guests to view the homes on their own schedule.  Ticket holders are cordially invited to visit the Tea and Boutique for a complimentary cup of tea or coffee and a delicious sampling of delectable homemade tea cookies and mints. What a perfect and exciting way to start the holiday season!

La Comida members meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month, excluding June, July and August.
